Grant to increase the capacity of the grain, oilseed and legume seed industry

USAID AGRO program plans to provide up to UAH 61,500,000 through 3 subgrants to establish and develop regional centers for studying adaptive


properties of Ukrainian and foreign-bred varieties and hybrids of grain, oilseed, and legume crops in different agroclimatic zones of Ukraine. It is expected that the amount of each subgrant will not exceed UAH 20,500,000, however, the final amount will depend on the subgrant activity and the results of negotiations and may be less or more. It is expected that the term of any subgrant agreement under this solicitation will not exceed 17 months. The expected start date for subgrant provision under this solicitation is February 28, 2025.

The grant is provided for the following purposes:

  • purchase of new specialized equipment and trailed equipment for conducting a complex of field works on test seed plots, laboratory equipment for determining quality indicators of grain and plant diseases, equipment for measuring and monitoring microclimate parameters, crop condition, soil testing, etc.;

  • carrying out work on installing the equipment, putting it into operation and ensuring its economical use;

  • providing agricultural producers with consulting and expert support in selecting varieties and hybrids that are most adapted to the climatic conditions of the region, implementing adaptive technologies and solutions that contribute to improving their productivity;
